Lovely medieval village known for the imposing Fortress and historical reenactment of "Sponsalia". Wandering the cobbled streets and alleyways, dotted with craftshops and little churches, makes a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon;
St. Giacomo della Marca hometown, is a small medieval citadel nestled in a magical and lush landscape full of vineyards. Its foodie and winery venues and its panoramic views over the sorrounding landscape are well worth a browse;

The best way to soak up the view of the charming promenade and to reach the old town of Grottammare is embarking in a fancy trip on the 'LILLIPUTIAN TRAIN of art': an exciting way for adults and children to experience a bewildering array of amazing alleyways and narrow streets that go up and down. Hop up and down of the train and you will find yourself not only surrounded by unique churches and places where Pope Sixtus V was born, but also by the castle walls and bastions overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Everything will take you wonder by wonder!

And then let’s keep fit with the “Naturalistic path”… discover the beauty of the Piceno landscapes from the dazzling coasts to the hills, from the emerald hills to the Sibillini mountains, from “Monti della Laga” mountains to the National Park of Gran Sasso! Each of them are perfect for those who love trekking and biking!
Sea-front bicycle lane: entirely flat for a relaxing stroll with the whole family! It runs from Cupramarittima to San Benedetto del Tronto just near the beach so that you can breathe some sea breeze;
Other many routes for cycling fans, both along the coast and in our rich hinterland;
Quercus Park: the first adventure park in Marche suitable for all ages! Just 10 miles away from Grottammare, it offers equipped paths within a green natural forest;
Motorboat tour of the Adriatic: leaving from the lovely wharf Molo Sud, called 'Outdoor Sea Museum' for its travertine boulders carved by international artists, and enjoying an open sea trip with the possibility to learn how to fish.
Now let's continue our journey with the 'Wine path'… wine and cooking tradition of Piceno from the coast to the inland.
Wine and oil: a visit through inebriating cellars, famous vineyards like 'DOC Passerina','Pecorino','Rosso Piceno' and fragrant/scented DOP olive oil mills;
Cheese and charcuterie:taste our typical fresh and medium-matured cheeses! And don’t miss our characteristic salami 'Ciaiuscolo' deliciously soft enough to spread on bread;
Marmalades and honey: Apple marmelade made of 'Rosa dei Sibillini', a particular variety of apples with a pleasantly sour and honey flavour of Monti Sibillini Park. Both excellent to be combined with our typical cheeses!
Other typical products of Piceno: Campofilone Maccheroncini, the tender olive DOP which is the basic ingredient of the famous 'Olive all’Ascolana' (stuffed olives), the distillate Anisetta Meletti which also adds an incredible taste to the delicious 'Cremini all’Ascolana'.
